Privacy Policy

How information is used across DriveLink products and services.

Last updated: September 18, 2026

1. Scope and responsibility

This policy covers DriveLink websites, apps, and dealership services. When a dealership uses DriveLink to process its customer information, the dealership determines the business purpose and remains responsible for its own privacy practices. DriveLink processes information to provide the selected service. For privacy questions, contact support@drivelinkapps.com.

2. Information involved

Depending on the service, information may include dealership and user contact details; enquiries and support correspondence; vehicle inventory, VINs and stock numbers; and information sent through configured integrations. Verify processes identification images, extracted document fields, check results, and the scan date, time, and location. Park records the location saved by the user and its association with a vehicle. SMS interactions involve the sender’s phone number, message content, and the relevant vehicle.

3. Why information is processed

Information is used to provide the requested product functions, generate labels and verification certificates, record vehicle locations, respond to enquiries, and route information through integrations selected by the dealership. Verify does not perform facial recognition or liveness checks. A licence photograph is nevertheless personal information and is included in the verification certificate.

4. SMS labels and requests for contact

Scanning an SMS QR code opens a prepared message. The shopper must send that message to receive the vehicle link. Scanning alone does not identify the shopper. Twilio processes SMS messages. When a shopper requests contact, DriveLink sends their phone number and message to the dealership by email or as an ADF lead to its CRM, then deletes that enquiry’s phone number and message from DriveLink. Copies held by Twilio and the dealership are subject to their respective retention practices. The dealership is responsible for the notices, consent, and follow-up associated with its communications.

5. Device permissions and location

Scanning features require camera access. Location-enabled features use location information for the relevant workflow, including saving a vehicle location in Park and recording the scan location in Verify. Permissions can be managed in device settings, although disabling a required permission may prevent that feature from working. Park is not continuous vehicle tracking.

6. Service providers and connected services

DriveLink uses AWS infrastructure, Twilio for SMS delivery, and Google services, including Google Maps. Our website uses Cloudflare hosting and Turnstile for spam prevention, and Amazon SES to deliver contact form enquiries to our sales mailbox. Mobile applications are distributed through Apple App Store and Google Play. Service providers and app-store operators process information under their applicable terms and privacy policies. Connected DMS, CRM, inventory, and key-management services receive information relevant to the integration enabled by the dealership.

7. Storage and retention

Verify customer data is stored on Canadian servers using AWS Canada. Verification certificates are available to download from the web portal for 30 days, after which the associated customer data is deleted. Dealerships must download and retain certificates needed for their deal files. Copies retained by a dealership or sent to its systems are subject to that dealership’s retention practices. This statement does not establish that every service provider processes all information exclusively in Canada.

8. Website enquiries and technical information

When you submit our contact form, your name, email address, dealership, product interest, and message are sent to our sales mailbox so we can respond. The form does not create a separate lead database; the enquiry is retained as email correspondence. The website loads fonts from Google. Hosting and security providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser information, and request details to deliver the website and prevent abuse. The form uses encrypted connections and server-side validation. No online system can guarantee complete security.

9. Access, correction, and privacy questions

For a request concerning an ID scan, vehicle enquiry, or other dealership-held record, contact the dealership that collected the information. For information held by DriveLink, or to request access, correction, withdrawal of consent, or raise a privacy concern, contact support@drivelinkapps.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding. Requests are subject to applicable law and lawful exceptions. Do not email copies of identification documents.

Website analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand page visits, referral sources, approximate visitor countries, browser and device types, and page performance. This analytics service does not use cookies or browser fingerprinting. We do not send contact-form fields or message contents to analytics, and we do not use session recordings.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or information-handling practices change. Updates will be published on this page with a revised date.
